Animal RemovalDead Animals Can and Will
Have Many Health Issue's (Parasites – Disease)
Animals that have died can have and will get some type of parasites, it is just a matter of time, that can hurt and even kill any other animals that may come in direct contact with them. Flies, Bees and other insects are also known carriers.
Salmonella and E. coli are also present and get worse as time passes. These are but a couple of the many different diseases that will infect a deceased animal.
A larger animal results in more decaying flesh, which in turn results in a stronger odor. Time is very important especially in the summer months where the decay happens much more rapidly than when it is cold. Fleas, mites, or ticks can also be on the animal and these organisms can carry and transmit disease, as well. Depending on what the animal died from there could be deadly pathogens within the dead animal or any other number of other known diseases.
Dead Animal Issues & Concerns
If left in the summer heat you can expect, within 24 hours, some of these issues
- Horrible odors outside the home
- Terrible odors inside the home
- Diseased carrying flies, bees or insects
- Emotional stress from the loss of a family pet
- Buzzards, Coyotes, Opposums, Skunks wanting to feed of the dead animal
Proper Disposal of a Dead Animal
The dead animal must be disposed of properly. If the animal has come into contact with a viral or even non viral disease that is virtually unknown to man then an apidemic could started, ie – The bird flu. I know that that is way out there but everything starts somewhere, just like west nile, or any other number of diseases.
We recommend incineration as opposed to burial for the simple fact that if not buried at least 6 foot deep then an animal could possibly dig it up. The six feet is from the top of the animal so the hole would be six feet plus the height of the animal lying side ways. We also recommend wrapping the dead animal in two to three heavy duty trash bags for extra protection from the dead animals odor.
